ForumAbroad — opening doors for students with global dreams

We started ForumAbroad as two students who made the leap ourselves — Gift Christian (now at Dartmouth) and Benny (now at Alfred). Along the way, we realized how confusing and isolating the process can feel. ForumAbroad is our way of giving back: a community where students from our country can find clear guidance, real mentors, and trusted opportunities to study abroad — without the endless guesswork.

This platform is our way of opening doors: real mentors, real stories, and practical resources to make the journey clearer—and less lonely.

Why we built TZtoAbroad

Hey fam 🌍✨ — after two gap years of navigating confusing deadlines, hidden scholarships, and a lot of silence, I realized how isolating the journey to studying abroad can feel. Just before I left Tanzania myself, I thought: what if there was a space where we could ask, share, and guide each other through this process? That’s how TZtoAbroad was born 💡.

This isn’t just my story — it’s for every student still searching for the right info, the right chance, the right push. While Tansaf gave us an incredible platform, so many others are still out there without guidance. If we can help even one more person find their path, it’s worth it 🕊️.

1
Reduce uncertainty
Checklists, deadlines, and timelines so you don’t have to guess your next step.
2
Build trust
Guidance from alumni, mentors, and peers who’ve been exactly where you are.
3
Grow together
A space that reminds us this journey is shared — we rise by lifting each other.
